Evil Death is a mod which adds a significant degree of difficulty to the vanilla Spelunky experience created by the Mossmouth member Marsgreekgod. Most notably, enemies are given an upgrade in terms of health, speed, and some new and recolored versions are added as well. Other changes include unlimited arrow traps and item/tool nerfing. Due to the added damage enemies can take, along with traps being less forgiving, ED focuses more on the players' ability to avoid danger than to confront it. While this fact is evident even in the normal Spelunky, the mod all but forces you to avoid enemies.
